Saying there's always someone better is just a way to make oneself feel better. If there is always someone better, then it's just an endless cycle. Where will one stop at and how long will this search or rather journey take? Will people ever be satisfied with their significant other? People are pretty hypocritical in a sense that when one's life is all about butterflies or when life is going well for them, and their life suddenly goes downhill, their beliefs, principles tend to go against their prior thinking.
