My daughters have been delivering the local paper twice a week for a few years now. It's shit pay for the work you have to do. Stuffing the flyers into the paper and delivering them twice a week rain or shine isn't a whole lot of fun. The midweek paper usually has a lot of flyers and they get heavy really fast. You'll probably need a cart of some kind to carry them.
The newspaper won't back you up if a customer has a complaint, and you are not covered by Workers Comp. We had one house that had two dogs and they would try jumping through the screen door at my daughters so they started leaving the paper at the gate. The owners complained to the paper and they gave us notice that it had to be dropped by the front door. I asked what would happen if someone got bit and they told me that it would be up to my daughters to sue the dog owners. The paper was then thrown over the fence towards the front door, wet or dry.
