ok I've been out of the phone game for years now so I've become more of a newbie now a days. Is unlocking an iphone different from unlocking any other regular phone? I keep seeing people talking about unlocking iphones and sometimes the difficulties with it so I'm not sure.

I'm considering buying a brand new Iphone 4 (Yea old but beter than my 9780) for cheap but it's locked to Fido, I'm with Rogers. I can get this unlocked and working on my Rogers easily correct? Can I just walk into a Fido and ask them to do it for a fee?
