Open a command prompt and do "ping 8.8.8.8 -t" and let it run for awhile... up to an hour if you have time. CTRL-C to stop it. Are you getting packet loss?

This might be a red herring. Could be your computer that can't keep up with full screen 1080p YouTube.

Nope, that shouldn't be it. It's an issue that relates to cable Internet, not DSL.
