Just came back from Osoyoos.

If you want to try some cool wines check out Silver Sage's "The Flame"

I think it was a Gewurtztraminer with a chili pepper in it. Sweet wine with a hot kick. I wish that we bought more. The owner of the winery recommended not to cellar it, because it gets hotter over time.

I definitely recommend going to Osoyoos on a wine trip. I learned so much about the different types of grapes and such. Most wineries charge about $2 or $3 to try several if not all of their wines, which is refundable with the purchase of a wine.

I enjoy my reds more than whites, but I'm really really picky when it comes to finding a red that I enjoy. Burrowing Owl had some good reds.

Also, good years of reds can go up in value over time. Whites stay the same so don't really matter, you can drink them without cellaring.

Here's some Osoyoos wineries that I enjoyed if you are interested (In no particular order): Rustico, Burrowing Owl, Tinhorn Creek, Silver Sage, Cassini, Oliver Twist, Platinum Bench, Road 13, Hester Creek
