It isn't new. Sauder students have been writing them for some time now (they were called supplementals/broad based admissions)
Starting with the acceptance for the 2012-2013 year (the year im in), they made EVERYONE write a personal profile( basically a supplemental) instead of just Sauder kids. This is so the campus has more diversified people instead of people who are just academic oriented The questions I had last year were

Keep in mind that I have 2-3 questions more than every other broad based. In regards to the 84% average, My friend with a 93% average applied for kin and did not make it, and her supplemental was pretty good, so try and get the highest marks you can! Also, faculties outside Sauder generally don't care that much about your supplemental, so I would just study everyday and get that average up!
