They're not "discontinued" drinks... they're US drinks.
A couple years ago, I loaded up my car with like 30 cases of pop that we don't have here from Target.
When they go on sale, sometimes it would be like $2.50 per case, but they don't charge recycling fees down in WA.
Technically you're not supposed to return US pop cans at recycling depots here, but usually they don't pay that close attention.
So assuming you get 60¢ back on a dozen cans, you're actually paying less than two bucks for a case of pop, for stuff you can't get here.
