Btw glove, I found that the ninja was going for a lot cheaper than the 250's--used atleast. That was the major deciding factor for me.

ya I was looking to buy new,
used cbr 250's were going for like 4k /4.5k
meanwhile a brand new one cost me 5k out the door, it made no sense to buy a used one when I got a new one for 500 bucks more.
And the ninja was significantly more expensive out the door than the cbr was, made no sense.
for a 2013 ninja 300 your going to spend around 7.5k after taxes freight and pdi and all that shit, seems like a lot of money to spend on a beginner bike, the cbr's are still 5k out the door, with better fuel economy.
I wish there was a 600cc bike with 60+ mpg, id be all over that,
I got 70mpg on every tank so far with the cbr
