I don't have a dime in savings or investments, what I do have is stories to tell in print and film, an eye for aesthetics, a large penis, and massive amounts of ambition along with the personality and connections to make it happen.

Many of the wealthiest people I've met were in my same boat, some even in their 40s. They tried over and over again to make projects work, dumping all of their money into various things along with padding their own lifestyles. Eventually one idea hit and they ran with it.

Real estate is a slow and steady approach to security and lifestyle, but artists typically have no interest in this as they focus on lifestyle and art.

Could Kanye West be Kanye West if he spent his time working a 9-5 and investing in real estate, saving money to buy property instead of pursuing a lifestyle that would further his art? Just an example but highly applicable to someone such as myself

I actually think Vancouver's extreme prices and relatively low rental to ownership prices helps foster creative people and art, as it makes people less focused on the long term and more focused on the short term. Many people I know have outright given up on the idea of ever owning in Vancouver, and are happier for it
