I was contemplating a $150~ pair of boots a page back... only because I want a spare set that I can get muddy without feeling an urgency to clean. Ultimately, it doesn't make sense though. Save up and spend $350-400 for a pair of boots that last you a lifetime.
I would go with Daytons, handmade in East Van with a lifetime warranty.
