Okay, well if you're walking in snow, the leather sole on the OSBs is not the best choice because you won't have any grip and the leather would dissolve (not really, but it's not good). A rubber sole would be better. The boots I've suggested all have rubber soles, but only one of them is lugged for traction.

Anyway, here are my suggestions:

- LL Bean Katahdin :: ships free to Canada :: Here's an entire StyleForum thread dedicated to these boots
- Chippewa GQ or or in tan :: Same as the Katahdin, but with a plain toe (Chippewa makes the Katahdins)
- Timberlang Earthkeeper 6" Moc Toe :: I have these and they are great. They were pretty painful to break in.
- Sebago Fairhaven Boot :: This was on my shortlist before I bought the Timberlands, but the Timberlands were on sale at the time so I jumped on those instead.
