Well here is some food for thought.
In the initial (pun intended) volume of Initial D it says year is "199x"
and then Takumi grew from 18 to 19 in the more recent volumes.
So give them all the benefit of the doubt the year is now 2000.
Where did they find EVO 8, 9(?), 350Z and AP1 (with a 2004+ dashboard, lol) in year 2000?
