So does UBC never have problem not getting in the courses you need? There's always whining you can't get into courses onto SFU thread, I know a few who didn't got the courses they needed, me inclusive.
Is SFU the exception where the whole enrollment just sucks, or is it similiar in other universities?

Depends on your program, I think. For example, most of the science and engineering degrees have STTs where you're guaranteed to get all your core courses. Some programs, such as my Food Nutrition and Health program, don't have that so you're kind of screwed if you don't get a class (like a two-term physiology class with only ~400 seats)
