That was just my opinion, I see more risk than reward. More things could go wrong then good.
Then again, we don't know the experience level of the OP, because some beginners are lunatics with speed descent. Whereas, to a more intermediate lifter, its' definition may be interpreted differently.
Either way, controlled down is a good universal motto for me.
