+1 for having gloves in the glove box (makes sense doesn't it)
and to add one thing, keeping your fuel tank topped up is important for winter for 2 reasons, the first one is easy, there is probably going to be a little bit of moisture in your fuel system and it could freeze up if you run the tank empty all the time, and the second one is for comfort and convenience, as if a highway gets shut down or you get stuck somewhere, you don't want to run out of gas and freeze to death!
