I'd add a Cellphone to that, Seems basic but hey, It IS a guide afterall. Also, Have the numbers of a few friends with 4x4's or a few tow companies handy in case you get stuck. Few other things to add are extra winter rated windshield wash, And where possible, a full size spare. (Good luck driving in the snow if the spare happens to need to go on a drive wheel.
