Just talked to Fido retention for my gf's line. I renewed for her last time in Feb 2012 for 2 years. So she is only 9 months into the contract.

She had the old $25 plan with a $10 credit for free cid and vm, and 50 bonus.

The normal CSR said the 50 bonus and $10 credit will drop if I change to the new $25 plan.

So I asked to be transferred to retentions and got it done without any questions asked.

It is now $25 for:

150 + 50 bonus
unlim after 5 and weekend
unlim text/pic msg from Canada to Canada and International
call display, vm

$10 Credit, bonus minutes, and 2 yr agreement remains the same until Feb 2014

Only difference is that the minutes are now per-minute billed, as opposed to the old $25 plan is per-second billed. And she gets international text/pic msg now.
