I don't know why you keep comparing the comic to the TV show. If you're so unhappy with how the series is portraying the love of your life/comic book, then go up to the writers/director/studio exec and complain to them.
The show has deviated from the comic enough times that I figured any sensible human being would just accept the differences, and enjoy them both for what they are. I suppose that's hard for people like you to accept.
