For sure. Remember, you are gonna have to spend like 80 bucks for lift tickets, its worth it to spend an extra hundred and get a good board. Good equipment honestly makes a huge difference in how long you can make your days last. I just sold a set of good bindings for 50 bucks, and they are super adjustable, so you will be able to find some if you look around. Also don't worry about chips, scratches, all that shit. Boards are gonna get beat, and you can't see them when they are covered in snow. It won't effect any structure of the board as long as they aren't peeling.
