^ i currently run 670sli and I think the gains are worth it...I did not qualitaively measure them since I have yet to play many intensive game on my setup...but I would say it's roughly 80% gain in surround resolutions (it was almost 100% in heaven 3.0 benchmark)

it's still a bit ways away with no specs out yet but I'm predicting 780 to run roughly the same performance as 580 SLI.
Either way 700's will be released not too long after crysis 3 is out...unless you absolutely have to play it maxed out on crysis release.
the way I see it your 580 is still decent enough...even if 780 is a bit disappointing you can get 580 or 680 for a better price then.
