Like I said, modem is fucked. Happens at least once a year, Shaw sends a tech, tech says oh it's the splitter, replaces the splitter, doesn't fix anything, Shaw sends another tech, replaces the modem, works fine for another 6-12 months, rinse and repeat.
I'm guessing it's the cable wiring in my apartment building, but Shaw's not going to replace all of that (48 units). In the mean time, a new modem band-aids the problem for up to a year, I just hate the whole song and dance Shaw makes me go through to get one. Like I said, this time of the year, I'm hoping a buddy can just swing a new modem for me without waiting for a tech to come and not fix the problem.
