I think most people only use a scale of 7 to 10 when rating a movie, unless they really hated it, in which case they'll give it a ridiculous number
For me, if a movie is enjoyable but not that great, it gets a 6. And I go up or down from there. A 5 means I didn't hate it, but didn't enjoy it. Anything below a 5 means I hated it.
I would only give very few movies a 10. Only my very favourites like Pulp Fiction or Boogie Nights.
