Ehh, I still think the whole lubrication issue is a sales/paranoid myth.
The windings swing around a fixed point.
Seeing as it's water resistant, the case has to be at least somewhat air tight.
I don't see how letting it sit idle can harm it/lose lubrication.
If you wear it at least once a month, you're good.
