$1200 sounds like a genuine Acura converter. You can get one from lordco or napa direct fit for maybe 300 or 400. Or you can try a place like Quiet muffler and brake on Kingsway in burnaby. They do custom exhaust stuff. The odd time our shop will refer to them, cause of the cost of oem converters. Often they price out converter for what you can buy at lorcdo but installed.
A 2000 car i don't think there's actual readings. I think they plug into the obd2 and check the readiness codes. My guess is your engine light was on? And you had catalyst deterioration code and TP code?
