it has been a life long dream of mine to build up an older car into a reliable, fun DD.
it doesn't have to be nice, you just have to enjoy it. Maybe look into project cars
and build up the car of your dreams. That'll be a lot more rewarding and a lot cheaper,
plus .... when else will you be able to build a completely impractical car?
