This orthodontist assistant, has she worked on you at all? or have you just seen her around the office?
Because if she worked on you, she may not be allowed to date you. In almost all health related professions, you are not allowed to date your patients. You should probably figure this out first. I know for a fact that the orthodontist is not allowed to date you, but the rules may be different for assistants.
