When I was in junior high/high school, my best friends were from germany and hungary and we always checked out the european car mags and this was the style long before it was here, so it shaped my love for the style at a young age. I don't need an amazing handling car, and the fact is, it being lowered 4+inches, with sticky tires and wide wheels, it still handles better than stock, and is fun as hell for me in the process. Also the fact that I've had everyone from kids to senior citizens tell me how awesome the car looks and have conversations about it is gratifying. No word of a lie, a 90 year old woman said my car was one of the nicest cars she had ever seen, and it was only because it was red, clean, low and wide.
It's so impractical though... I couldn't imagine trying to get over speed bumps, in and out of sloped driveways etc. I scrape on my driveway and over high speed bumps stock height.
