You are definitely right about not being able to polish this paint finish. Avoid using any abrasive products on the paint as well.

Also, avoid using glazes,waxes,sealant or any products with silicone since they act as "fillers" to fill in any imperfections on the paint, creating a flat surface to give shine. Defeating the purpose of matt paints and their light absorbing qualities.

Like 911fanatic said, if you want to use a sealant, make sure it's specifically made for matt finishes.

All in all, just be very careful and gentle with the paint. Since any scratches would be much harder/expensive to fix.
