A huge part of what makes sex enjoyable for me is the interactivity between two partners. Kind of like a dance. I feed off of the other's energy. I get the element of submission/domination thing though and I can see why that's exciting for some people. But it's just totally not my thing. However my point is, it's totally normal if that may not be your thing too and it doesn't automatically mean you're no-less kinky or sexually adventurous like the rest of the adventurous people of the world.
The fact that you tried it means you're already a HUGE step up from you typical, demure girly girls. It's okay not to like everything you try.
