like someone else said, working hard is your job description. you should always be working hard.

working hard to me means your shifts won't get cut, that's your reward.

put yourself in your boss' shoes, would you really give a raise to some kid that's only worked for you for 6 months? i know guys working minimum wage for years and nobody ever asked for a raise (i'm assuming you are around minimum wage).

my solution - if you really don't feel like you are getting compensated fairly for the work you do, find another job.
