IMHO, I don't mind seeing a rice-out Prius. But those kits must serve a purpose.

And for hybrid cars, it's not about the 0-60 o 1/4miles time... they should be about gas mileage.

If a $3000 kit can make a Prius to go from 40mpg to 50mpg... I'd say that's pretty sick... in an inner beauty kinda way.
