could you describe what code number, and what exactly is the fault?

have you checked simple things like low battery voltage?

I am having a cam sensor code on my ford, and been through a new sensor, pig tail, checked resistance in wiring, new timing chain and guides (worn, but not out of alignment), and now everything points to an ecu error...
