But I think if you get them shucked them take them home, you're losing that oyster liquor. Does Whole Foods shuck them and just put the meat in a little tub for you?
That would be pretty sweet if I had money.
I don't have the money to spend to get nice oysters shucked for chowder.
Best I would could hope for is my aunt doing chiu chow oyster pancakes.


Also, I like the small ones the best. Kumamotos and Miyagi are probably my favs. I get mine from Seafood City on Granville Island.
Done a couple oyster nights, have yet to have a single sub-par oyster.
