What it boils down to in Vancouver is one or a combination of the following (in no particular order)

- Who you know. Are you personal friends with the promoter? As in, the actual people who have an agreement with the club owners? I'm not talking about kids off the street who sell you a ticket for $10 instead of the $15 at the door. Knowing the right people can go a long way.

- How much money you and your friends are willing to spend. Wanna make it rain? Always coming with your entourage and prepared to drop hundreds, if not, thousands per night? Bottle service/VIP? The more you spend, the more privilege you earn. Venue owners and promoters typically base their success on the average revenue per patron. They don't need chumps to overcrowd the venue who are there to buy one drink and spend the entire night there. Clubs are a business!

- Your attitude. Hey, if you're going to act like a chump, you'll be treated like a chump. Simple as that.
