guys get taken advantage of all the time at clubs. a girl will kiss a guy just to get a drink...and full on make out in a corner for a round of shots for her and her gf's and the guy. he can spend 100$ in 10 minutes while being led on.
ive been pushed around in a club just for lightly backing up back to back with another guy and he "spills" his drink all over his 200$ ed hardy shirt, so he retaliates to show the little bimbo at his side how macho he is.
but I def agree with your last statement, quit putting yourself in harms way...it doesn't mean do go out at all...just be aware and know that not every guy is a saint. guys buy drinks for girls with the intent of wooing them and taking them home.
