So headlight paint, fog lights, bumper?

It depends on the headlight and the way it is constructed. Some headlights can handled being baked, but newer headlights are quite delicate, if it is too hot etc it will loose its shape and it would never seal correctly. If you have moisture it will be the tube is clogged or just not sealed properly. For projects like this always have a spare headlight and those touchless temperature probes.

HID foglight.. I think it killed itself for the sake of people who you are aiming it at! In all seriousness, I would chalk it up to warranty. Also most foglight is located at the part of the car that is most exposed to the elements. Unless there is an obvious short you can't blame the installer.

$2000 repair job.. what did they do? Blow the temperature control unit?

Bumper, well you do need a certain finesse for things to fit nicely, go to the dealership get some new clips you are good to go.

It depends on how many people / time etc.$3200 might sound expensive, but let say $500 for parts, 2 people, $1350/head that's roughly about 2 days or work.
