I suppose that comment could be taken two ways. The way I understand it is that Torts needs to understand everyone's strengths and then adapt his strategies to suit their abilities/style of play.
I don't think it meant, "Torts better adapt to how we want to play the game."
The tail doesn't wag the dog. If the players think they're going to run things, they're in for a hell of a rude awakening with Torts in the dressing room.
