I was just looking at the Blackhawks payroll. They got 7 players all making under 1million a season when they won the cup. Bickell, Handzus, Kruger, Saad, Smith, Stalberg, Bollig.
Why dont we just let our young guns(who have low cap hits) run our bottom 6 so we can spend extra money for top end players. Im sick of us signing B level players in hopes they flourish here. Let the young guys play and if they dont work out. well It is the bottom 6..... they will play bottom 6 minutes. No point wasting money 1-1.5mil on each player that plays less than 5 minutes a game.

Even if this COULD happen (it couldn't), 99.9% chance Briere wants to stay on the East coast. I can't see Vinny moving over here either.
Booth can't be bought out, as he is still injured. I'm into letting the young players have a chance to crack the lineup, but only if they deserve it.
Anyway, Letang turning down some big money. Crazy..

Hearing that Letang camp informed Penguins earlier tonight that they were turning down an 8-year contract offer worth around $56 million...
