If you can flash your router to DD-WRT you can set it up as a wifi repeater (so either a CAT5 internet signal comes in, and gets converted to wifi, or a wifi signal comes in and is repeated as a wifi signal)

You could get the powerline ethernet adaptor as lilaznviper mentioned, then have it connect to a wireless router inside the coach house -- this is probably the best idea for the coachhouse because the shaw wifi router is not so great in terms of range.
