Watched the first couple episodes and really liked it, but it seems to be on at a really inconvenient time for me. Thank God for PVRs Just catching up this weekend on a bunch of recorded episodes and I'm liking it more and more. The characters are believable, easy to get into, but show more and more depth as the show goes on - the character development is really well done.

They start off by showing you the victim and the killer right off, usually people who seem completely unconnected, and ultimately the story unfolds to show the motive and how it came about... but they're very, very good at misdirection throughout the episode, constantly giving you little clues to make you think you know what the motive will be, before turning it around and giving you something completely different, which to me is the thing that really sets it apart from other crime procedurals.

And yes, it is set AND SHOT in and around Vancouver - they don't try to hide it at all.
