is there a way to make the casement window open further? i removed the limiter on it so it opens to 4" instead of 2" now.. i installed a plexiglass mount for my portable a/c intake and exhaust hose but the window is basically blocking the exhaust heat and making it travel back to the intake making the house even warmer.. the arm on the window crank assembly only goes to 4" max.. so would i be able to get a longer arm or something and just directly replace it? i could undo the arm but the window will be swinging freely.. living on the 18th floor i don't think it's a good idea to have the window swinging loosely. please help thx.
