In fact, my reps are actually 3-5lbs lighter per wheel compared to my OEM wheels even when the reps are wider. I would never track with reps, but using it for daily driving, I am more than happy. Don't think I would be comfortable tracking with $6000 wheels either. The OEM BMW M-sport wheels that came with the car are known to crack and all 4 of them were replaced by BMW before the warranty ended and haven't used them since. On the other hand, when one of my tires were blown when it had a nail stuck in it and went over 2-3 potholes on the highway @ highway speeds, not a single dent, crack or bend was found on my reps. Only had a gigantic nail spinning around in the dish of my wheels afterwards and scratched the clearcoat like crazy.
And I am pretty sure I don't need performance on the streets unless I was planning to street race which is pretty much impossible living in Vancouver.
Had TE37 and CE28 replicas on my previous car, curbed one of the set going 80km/h and no cracks/bends. Pretty sure these rep's are no longer as shitty as they used to be. |
why are u spending so much effort explaining this to him, its a waste of time as u can obviously tell that he doesnt care
his sig says he owns a A4, M5 & AMV, plus he use to have a porsche too so my guess is he has money
i think he never had to worry about saving money for other mods
