I think my expectations were just too high as I had imagined it more to be like the sea to sky hwy for the most part, but when really it was about 20% of the time it was that good. Also, I prefer scenic and slower twisty routes or fast sweepers rather than high speed/long wide curves. Chuckanut was definitely a great little road, just too damn short.
Oregon Route 6 between Tillamook and Portland was surprisingly good as well.

Thanks for that. I ask because sadly, I've never been to Portland mostly because I don't like driving far/long distances. Going to the border is already too much of a drive, IMO.
