I could care less what language they speak, but like I said in the sign thread, my cousins child had to be removed from the school he was at because he couldn't speak Chinese/mandarin. inside the class everyone could speak, but once the recess/lunch bell went, they all magically forgot how to speak English and made him an outcast.

why should they adapt? I tried that argument many times on RS and every response I would get was "why should we adapt when we can get by without learning English". I believe in the Richmond sign thread I was told that I should learn Chinese so I can adapt to them and eat and order off a menu in Richmond. granted its a Chinese restaurant, I shouldn't have to have a translator to pick items off a menu when they don't have pictures or any English underneath.
