The newer ones are pieces of shit for sure....but i'm on the onkyo 706 and it's being fine so far.....THEY do get extra hot but that's normal...even has a sticker on top that says it.
if you look at amazon reviews there nothing but garbage now after they were one of the best japanese receivers
