For typical desktop usage, I would not be concerned at all about the durability of consumer grade SSD, even if they are TLC-based.
I know it's a new and entirely different drive, but here is a section on SSD endurance (of the new Samsung 840 EVO) analysis from Anand:

As you can see, the 120GB version of that drive is estimated to last almost 8 years with a higher than average write load. Assuming that you are using older and less durable technologies, how many years of usage do you suppose you can get out of an SSD drive?
For me, it isn't a number I'd be concerned about. I don't think my usage is that high at all, so the SSD will be more than enough to last me the life of the PC it is installed on.
