What I meant was, he needs to improve as much defensively as he does offensively. Obviously he'll be more of an impact player offensively overall, but if he doesn't prove that he can play defensively as well, he won't get much ice time with Torts. I think a lot of people blame AV for his lack of ice time but I believe any balanced coach wouldn't play anyone who is not defensively responsible these days.. unless they're a Russian 40 goal scorer
