I was thinking of doing a third country for one of these weeks, any suggestions or other suggestions while staying in Greece/Italy?
It really depends on what you want to do. Do you want to visit touristy areas or do you want a genuine feel of the country? Personally, I'd suggest Austria. It has a nice blend of German and Italian all throughout the country. Salzberg in particular is fascinating to visit, despite the fact that it's become a bit of a tourist city. If you're able to, try to go in April instead of May. It's early enough that you'll miss most of the tourists and it's still warm enough that you can go swimming while around the Med. I went in March and even though it snowed on us in Germany, the weather was fantastic in Italy. Heavy rains hit us in Venice but then hit around 25* and became nice and sunny while we were in Cinque Terra and the Mediterranean Sea was surprisingly warm. Warm enough that we tanned on the beach and went for a swim.

I was there for three days. It was more than enough to see what we wanted to see and at a slow enough pace that we felt we weren't rushed. You don't have to visit all five villages; we didn't. You can take a train, passenger ferry, or hike between all of them. The two places I do suggest you go visit, however, are Monterosso al Mare and Manarola. If you're a wine drinker, you have to check out some of the local wines there. Some of the best white's I've ever had come from the Cinque Terra.

Edit: Nice pictures, HR. I've always wanted to go to St Petersburg.
