I think it's a combination of Pratt being the usual antagonist mixed in with his opinions that are sometimes controversial. The guy should really think about what he says before opening his mouth on the radio.
If Pratt was in Kessel's skates and facing John Scott, would he even dare to fight the big guy? It is so easy for the fat ass Pratt to make those comments in the safety of a sports radio studio when you are not the guy who has to face a 6 foot 7, 270 pound goon on the ice.
He's trying too hard to be controversial so that he can help increase Team1040's ratings, and improve his job security. -sort of like a poor man's Howard Stern.
Scott would pummel Pratt to the ice for sure.
