And it's so ironic. When she was dating her ex, she would always approach me for help. I remember clearly once she was telling me how her ex was saying things like "I'm going to leave you, because what if I make you angry or hurt you and we break up? We can't even be friends anymore! So I'm just going to leave you now." And I clearly remember how upset she was about that when her ex told her that.

It's funny because that's pretty much what she told me yesterday when I confessed. She said, "what if I hurt you? I shouldn't go out with you because if I hurt you, we can't even be friends anymore." I replied, "you'll never know if you don't try, how can you say that? If everyone thought the same way as you, then there would be no relationship on earth." It's the exact same words I told her ex when she was going through the same problem.

Is this what bad relationship do to you when they end? You turn into a different person? You become a mirror of the person you despised?

If you brought it up already, give her a cold shoulder for awhile. You'll feel better with way less contact, and maybe she'll appreciate you once she see's that your gone from her life for awhile.
